Windows 7 came out in October, so I've been seeking a new PC.
I come up with an idea of throwing my old TV monitor, and include TV functions onto a new PC. I thought so, because Windows 7's Windows Media Center integrates with TV captions well. Less space to take monitors, less plugs to use, simply "nice".
So new PC goes like this
* PC stays up and running on 24/7 basic.
* PC functions "as is" when I'm working.
* PC turns into "Windows Media Center" when I'm not working.
Therefore, New PC needs to be quiet.
I am sure some of folks look into this. As a jazz lover who occasionally can't watch a programme on time, it will be nice if everything fits well.
Right, time for grabing quotes from shops then.

Major Version Up, No Function Improvement
As a weekend programmer, it is always hard to keep the program, both on functions and security up-to-date. Well, that would be the case for this time, as I uploaded the new one, only for the security.
You don't see much of its improvement on speed. No function has added neither. It's just the plain security update that somewhat needed to be done, that's all.

Rebuilding the new site: the idea finally linked up together
The Year 2008 was deadly busy year. There was no time thinking about something new.
The Year 2009 gives some breathing space, so it has been considering to rebuild it a whole lot again. The new site taught how the new technology is really useful yet it should be implemented where needed - current site doesn't do that well.
The brand new attempt includes i18n in a truthful fashion. Current site only serves in English. I want to implement Japanese on top of that.
It's snowing outside. Let's play it with PCs and new design.

Jazzman.jp Radio with Last.fm now opens
JASRAC (Japan's Music Copyright Management Organization) approved of showing the Last.FM's radio widget on the internet from Japan on 16th July 2008.
Without hesitant, Jazzman.jp decided to open the taste to the public from today. It takes a while to make an application for it - until today.

Google cache on my old site finally cleared up
Jazzman.jp refreshed back at late April. The old site's cache remained for a while, so I was eager to know whether my site is compatible with search engine like Google.
I woke up 2:00am (because I was heavily drunk last night, causing me to wake up so early in the morning) I typed at Google.
I discovered it finally cleared up nicely. You can now search my site with Google.
There is a lesson to learn. The site needs a little more fiddle with search engine compatibility, so that's next mission then!

Japanese Support?
Numerous people have asked me why jazzman.jp is not shown in Japanese.
The original idea derived from my English side of mind. I planned based on what I felt. So when the blueprint was made, it made a sense from English point of view. I developed it, programmed it, and done it - and it still looks great as of today. When I attempted to implement from English version into Japanese version, however, the blueprint looked wierd. The terminology that had used on Japanese blueprint was simply odd.
Let me assure that I can speak Japanese. It's just that the taste of the site hasn't fit with Japanese environment yet. It's 2 weeks after the site re-opened. I would imagine it would take sometime coming up with a good idea, so just wait and see ...

Listen my choice of jazz
You want to listen jazz, but you don't want to download iTunes to hear a sample? Or you want it but you don't want to buy one to listen it?
From today, Jazzman.jp starts his own radio station, "Jazzman.jp's Loved Tracks". All you need is a PC, a browser, and good bandwidth of internet connection. At work or home, or even on PDAs that supports Adobe Flash, you can now listen jazz 24/7, anytime you want it.
Go to jazzman.jp, and click "Loved Tracks" on left menu.
Find it too dull? I will add more this afternoon to fit with your taste.
PS: This is what I wanted to do from the start. I just couldn't do it, because I took so long just to launch this refurbishied site. The site starts to have its maturity, but I think it needs more work.
